Hands-on creative programs for kids with a burning will to make — just needing a place to make it real. Taught by a working artist with 20 years of professional practice and 15 years teaching, out of a rich studio space in a historic San Francisco building.
A real look at how a working art practice runs — with the option to go deeper into 1-on-1 instruction on any session day. For 6th grade and up.
Three sessions in the studio — helping with setup, inventory, workshop prep, and upkeep. A genuine behind-the-scenes look at how a professional art practice operates day to day. The real thing.
On any internship day, extend the visit to 2.5 hours and fold in 1.5 hours of 1-on-1 instruction in whatever medium interests your student most — neon glassworking, silversmithing, and more. Available session by session, whenever they're ready to go deeper.
Deep-dive sessions in specific materials and techniques. Open to anyone 5th grade and up — no prior experience needed. Bundles available.
An introduction to the art of bending neon — heat, form, light, and glass. One of the most technically fascinating and visually rewarding processes in contemporary art.
Working with metal — hammering, shaping, and forming silver into wearable objects. A hands-on introduction to jewelry fabrication and the satisfaction of making something that lasts.
Not every kid needs a defined outcome. Sometimes they need a safe creative space — to make, to journal, to paint, to sculpt, to figure out what they're drawn to. This is that.
Come in, make something, explore. A low-commitment entry point into the studio — no prior experience needed, no defined outcome. Just making.
A sampler across materials and mediums — neon, metal, paper, paint, sculpture — guided by curiosity rather than curriculum. Can be a single workshop, an ongoing series, or something in between. Some sessions in-studio, some hybrid. We design it around your kid.
For students applying to SOTA or other arts programs — a structured, 1-on-1 curriculum built around the specific requirements of the department they're applying to. Each program is designed around the student and their audition needs. Reach out to design something together.

One-on-one mentorship because the process has to be cared for. A student doesn't just learn technique — they develop an artistic knowing, a felt sense of what they're making and why.
I work with a small number of students at a time. Reach out to ask questions, check availability, or design something together.
